Hilary Whittaker
Miss Hilary Whittaker is the very proud Director of The Bradford School of Dance for 20 years now. From her very first plié at the barre when she was 4 years old, she knew that she wanted to someday teach ballet. Miss Hilary spent her younger years studying dance at J&J Milligan followed by Jaymor in Aurora. She didn’t reconnect with dance until she was in college when she met Miss Jane Pound and her passion for all things dance was reignited. Studying and training under Miss Jane’s guidance, she completed her Society of Classical Ballet Exams including her associate exam. Miss Whittaker was recently awarded the Victoria Carter Service Award for her 20 years as an instructor with the Society of Classical Ballet.
In the studio, Miss Hilary brings passion to her classes and always has a smile on her face. She loves helping children find their inner artistry while striving for strong technique. She adores the beauty and grace of ballet along with the very definitive structure that is required.
As a director, Miss Hilary is very often recognized for her attention detail, her strong organizational skills and for always providing lots of information well in advance. She thrives on the small studio atmosphere where she knows almost every student and their parents by name.
